New Mexico Bonding Coalition Legal Filings and Testimony

On August 8, 2025, The New Mexico Bonding Coalition, made up of Conservation Voters New Mexico, Dine Care, Citizens Caring for the Future, New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light, Sierra Club, Semilla Strategies, Oilfield Witness, and Earthworks, represented by the Western Environmental Law Center, filing their initial legal brief and expert testimony to the Oil Conservation Division. This document makes the legal case for improving bonding to reduce potential future orphaned wells, and includes testimony from subject matter experts.
