Kaitlyn Joshua joined Earthworks in 2021 as the Gulf Coast Campaigner where she works to stop the buildout of petrochemical, oil, and gas infrastructure in Louisiana.
Kaitlyn has about five years of organizing experience, working closely with faith leaders in southeast Louisiana working on various issues from raising wages, equal pay for women to voting rights for underserved and marginalized populations. She has a professional background in biology and political science, and speaks Spanish.
Kaitlyn graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA where she graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences. Somewhere along the way, she stumbled into organizing and never left for Medical school so at this point it “must just be a calling”. She is excited to join the team and ready to put her skills to use!
