Kaitlyn Joshua joined Earthworks in 2021 as the Louisiana Gulf Coast Campaigner where she works to stop the buildout of petrochemical, oil, and gas infrastructure in Louisiana.

Kaitlyn has about five years of organizing experience, working closely with faith leaders in southeast Louisiana. She co-leads the No Formosa Finance coalition, serves as one of the petrochemical working group Leads for Break Free From Plastics and continues to serve as the lead organizer in Ascension parish working to stop Carbon Capture and Storage where she engages communities in the River Parishes on how to plug into the fight and advocate for real alternatives in her beloved state.

When asked what is her favorite part of her job, Kaitlyn says “that is simple: getting the privilege to support the work of Rise St. James everyday”. Kaitlyn and her husband Landon reside in Geismar, along with their four year old, Lauryn, and soon to be baby Liam.
