Charlie joined Earthworks in October 2022 as an Oil and Gas Waste Policy Advocate to improve outcomes for communities disproportionately harmed by oil and gas waste.

Prior to joining Earthworks, Charlie worked as a Legal Fellow and Program Officer at the human rights non-profit Justice Revival, researching a range of international human rights topics from healthcare to housing.  

His passion for working in the public interest began as a Legal Intern at the National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project (NIWAP). At NIWAP, he conducted research on expanding the access of legal services available to immigrant victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

He first gained experience in the environmental movement working as a Research Assistant at the Georgetown Climate Center, where he researched climate change adaptation strategies for local governments. He then worked as a Legal Fellow at the Good Food Institute, identifying strategies to bring innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly foods to market.

Charlie holds a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in Philosophy from Ashland University.
