Prior to joining Earthworks in 2021, Brytnee (she/they) began her work in solidarity with mining-affected communities as an organizer supporting an Indigenous-led mining fight in central Arizona, where she worked to build grassroots support, influence policy makers, and spread awareness around the importance of this movement to protect sacred land.
Brytnee holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights Practice from the University of Arizona. Outside of Earthworks, she can be found hiking in the Sonoran Desert, writing poetry or “on really romantic evenings of self, salsa dancing with her confusion,” which she wants you to know is a quote from the movie, Waking Life, and not an original poem.
