On Monday, April 8 the House Energy Resources Committee is holding a public hearing on HB 2920, the bill would require the Railroad Commission to hold a local hearing and consider the testimony before permitting an oil and gas facility within 1,500 feet of a school or daycare.

More than 763,671 Texas school children currently learn and play within 1,500 feet of an oil and gas facility. Science shows hazardous oil and gas pollution threatens kids’ health.
