Presentation at the 2005 People’s Oil and Gas Summit: Toxics in Our Communities
This presentation addresses some of the hazards (e.g., explosive levels) associated with the migration of methane caused by oil and gas development. Migration pathways such as seepage through soil and movement up abandoned wellbores are discussed, and examples of methane migration and its impacts on property and human health are provided from the San Juan Basin.
