Statement on Josh Shapiro’s Inauguration as PA Governor

“Today, we are encouraged that Governor Shapiro could usher in a new era of true climate leadership in Pennsylvania. As Attorney General, Josh Shapiro recognized systemic failures by government agencies in overseeing the fracking industry in the state. Governor Shapiro must follow the path he has already charted when it comes to holding the oil and gas industry accountable to deliver a brighter future for all Pennsylvanians. 

“We hope he will continue to remain engaged in the fight to protect our communities and climate while growing Pennsylvania’s clean energy economy.”
