FREEPORT, Texas—To address the one-year anniversary of Freeport LNG exploding, Better Brazoria will host a press conference and banner drop on Thursday, June 8 at 11am near the site of the incident.

WHAT: Press conference and banner drop exactly one year after Freeport LNG exploded in 2022.

WHO: The event will feature speakers from the local community group Better Brazoria and other frontline allies.

WHEN: Thursday, June 8 at 11:00am Central

WHERE: Quintana Town Hall, 814 Lamar St, Quintana, TX 77541. The event will also be livestreamed on Facebook

WHY: The event aims to draw attention to the safety concerns and dangers these facilities pose to the surrounding residents, while exposing how much money the state and local governments handout to polluters. 

HOW: There will be opportunities for the press to conduct interviews and capture visuals highlighting the significance of this action.
