Rodney joined the Earthworks Team in December 2023 as the Texas Gulf Coast Campaigner. He is a St. Louis native with Texas roots, based out of San Antonio.
Prior to joining Earthworks, Rodney formalized his organizing skills during the Ferguson Uprising in 2014. He co-led the Close The Workhouse campaign and organized people impacted by incarceration to build political power, reimagine public safety, and envision a future without jails.
The pivot into Climate Justice organizing has been very rewarding and exciting, as the same communities that are overpoliced are the same communities overburdened by the construction of oil, gas, and petrochemical infrastructure.
For fun, Rodney enjoys visiting state parks, going to music festivals, and watching scary movies.
