Benjamin (he/him) is based in Bogotá, Colombia (occupied Muisca lands). He began working with mining-affected communities as a volunteer for the London Mining Network in 2017, supporting international advocacy tours as an interpreter and organizer. Benjamin went on to work with the Gaia Foundation and War on Want on issues of extractivism and the energy transition.
Benjamin joined Earthworks in 2019 and worked as the first Making Clean Energy Clean, Justice, and Equitable Coordinator before taking a three-year hiatus to study law.
Benjamin speaks Spanish, French, English, and Italian and holds a BA in Human Ecology, an MSc in Migration, Mobility and Development, and a Juris Doctor. Among his favorite authors are Arturo Escobar, David Graeber, and Aviva Chomsky.
