Late last night, we finally received the public release of the EPA’s investigation into alleged drinking water contamination by hydraulic fracturing toxics in Pavillion, Wyoming.

As we noted in our press release, and in our response to industry criticism of our release,  as a next step the EPA is now attempting to trace the source of the contamination — including EnCana’s nearby oil and gas drilling operations.

The report: Site Inspection – Analytical Results Report, Pavillion Area Groundwater Investigation Site, Pavillion, Fremont County, Wyoming, 8/2009. START 3, EPA Region 8, Contract No. EP-W-05-050 Revision: 1. CERCLIS ID# WYN000802735

The public presentation: EPA powerpoint given in Pavillion explaining the report.
