Kelsey joined Earthworks in September 2021 as Senior Policy Advocate, working to advance federal policies in solidarity with frontline communities fighting oil and gas export and infrastructure.
Kelsey worked with Sierra Club Virginia Chapter for six years prior to joining Earthworks – four years as a community organizer and two years as Campaign and Policy Director. In those roles, Kelsey has supported movement building, developing strategic campaigns for a just transition to 100% clean energy and transportation, and advocating for local, state and federal policies. Kelsey grew up in coastal South Florida, where they developed a passion for the natural environment and began organizing in the youth climate justice movement in 2006.
Kelsey graduated from Florida Atlantic University with dual Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and Geographic Information Sciences. Outside of work, Kelsey can be found kayaking, reading, at local festivals and supporting local grassroots organizing for environmental and food justice.
